The Chane speaker are nice and I would not worry about the clarity of the speakers and avr. I have Klipsch speaker that can be very revealing on bad recordings. That is what the EQ is about.

The subs are co-located if they are within a 1/4 wavelength. This is all frequency dependent but, for the under 20 Hz stuff, the subs back to back are considered co-located.

I wonder if the OP thought about IB sub for a lot less than funk or some of the other subs. I certainly sounds like he has enough room. IB subs are all about the SQ.
