If you do a lot of repeated cuts of the same size, a table saw saves a lot of time and you know that the sizes are accurate as long as you do not move the fence.. But small table saws are terrible...

Chances are the unit probably has a failing battery to charge the memory that stores the settings. If it does not have a battery, the NV-RAM is going bad. Either way, new firmware ain't gonna fix...

One thing to consider is the speakers... Are they 4-, 6- or 8-ohms? The Pioneers can handily drive 4-ohms speakers. I am not sure if the Denon or Marantz can... At least not to loud levels...
