Passive 3D Systems - Does the Filter Choice Matter?

I'm thinking of trying out a passive 3D system with two JVC DLA-X500's. With all the passive systems out there I've noticed they label the filters to use depending on the micro-display type. I...

The Sony is the best choice for what you're looking to get out of a projector. The JVC is the best for blu-ray by a noticeable margin, but the Sony is better suited for sports and 3D. It will look...

You're taking all of this too personally. I don't claim to know everything. I only know what I've seen with my two eyes. I just happened to like my uncalibrated JVC more than the calibrated 1100ES I...

There were some brighter clips we watched where I thought, even with such a high gamma, the image looked a bit washed out on the CRTs. I didn't notice this on the JVC with the same clips. I'd imagine...

Yes, I go through a lot of projectors. I'm not rich so sometimes being able to afford a $10000 Lumis Host or other expensive projector (like the Runco LS-10i) comes hard. I'm 25 and don't have a ton...
