That's great, Bob. However, I think you took my technique to the next level with the batch save. I remember seeing it before, but the exact procedure eluded me when I read your post. Actually, lots...

A Layouter preset will eliminate the need to flip each file individually. All you have to do is use Layouter to...

I think we cross posted, Don. I suspect you're exactly right. Edius double converts your footage, and makes hash of it in the process. I had a similar issue with the few clips I shot at 24p in the...

Just for clarification, in case this slo-mo topic is confusing:

You can slo-mo a clip in Edius once it's in the timeline, using the normal drop down menu: Clip>Time Effect>Speed. Entering 50%, for...

Importing the clip again won't work. Edius looks at the original file and changes both instances. The second suggestion is easier and would no doubt work. Good catch.

Don,

Like I said, I came in in the middle of the discussion. :) I thought you were saying you shot most of the project at 24p.

As to your method of bringing two instances of a clip into the...

Sure, but in the case of shots out a bus window, it usually won't matter. If audio is important for the clip, you can sometimes render it out normally (in a different "project") and drop it into the...

Oh, I see. That's different. If you want to slow down footage shot at 60p to 24p (or 59.94 to 23.98), you don't do that to the clip in the timeline. You do it to the clip in the source bin. (I know....

Is there a way you could convert just the 60p footage to 24p (say with Vegas), then...

Thanks, Barry. I've missed a lot, and I haven't been active with any aspect of 3D production for several months. I'm hoping that will change this spring, when things settle down after my recent move...

I don't think it's possible to change frame rate in a project, even if you create a new sequence. I've tried to do it in the past, but unless something has changed within the last year or so, I don't...

Exactly right. I latched onto the Micro Center deal of $2,000 for an LG 9800 OLED several months ago. It was the best display decision I ever made. I almost bought a Sony 4K set a couple of months...

I replaced a 64" Samsung plasma with the 55" LG 9800 OLED, and the drop in size didn't bother me at all. Before the OLED, I thought the plasma seemed tiny, and I still preferred watching the...

I don't think there's a way in Edius to eliminate fisheye distortion. I got NewBlue Essentials for $99 and correction is very easy with their filter. It also comes with 3 other effects.

Thanks, Mark. I'll take a closer look at the Sony. When I was in Best Buy, the Sony demo showed (IMO) less of an ability to maintain even exposure than the GoPro. But that was with the lower priced...
