I'd rather clip an amp and know I could use more...

I'd rather clip an amp and know I could use more headroom by adding more subs than bottom a woofer and risk damaging it because I drove it too hard. Cost IS an object too.

I find rear surrounds to be a huge upgrade over side surrounds as far as discrete effects go. I'd take a 5.1 with rear surrounds over a traditional 5.1. So I'm a big proponent of 7.1 :D
