I can vouch for the Wharfedales. I have the Wharfedale Diamond 225's as fronts and am very happy. Speakers are very subjective though.

I also had my mind set on the Rythmik Lv12r but we'll see...

Have you actually listened to the speakers you are interested in? "Higher End" is not always indicated by a few dollars either way. Your ears will be a better judge than a small difference I price....
