No you don't. That is one of the nice things about JRMC. You won't always have the latest versions of madvr or LAV but it rarely matters.

Thanks for the info. I think that this makes those features next to useless in a multi zone setup. I'll be keeping my BT receiver where it is. 90% of the reason I am staying with Denon is the 3 zones.
