Few reasons:
- Light output is significantly less to the point where 3D and eco mode could be dark or even unusable. Ls10k has just enough for both.
- Still expensive at 5999, but won't hold value...

DLP link is optional though and I believe can use a red or white frame, and I know dlp 3d is brighter without it. So question is does dlp require black frame?

The picture it throws is very nice. Pretty much the ultimate game projector if you can afford the price tag for that - 16ms lag, DLP fast motion resolution, no convergence for resolving pixels...

The end result is an effective 120hz 3D refresh, however, due to being limited by the refresh of the 3D glasses... True 480hz 3D would need glasses that refresh at 480hz as well, if you wanted to...

Can't possibly be that high in reality. The fastest 3D glasses only do 72hz per eye (144hz). I am pretty sure the Epson does 60hz per eye (120hz) for 3D.

Re: 3D

It is a tough pick with JVC vs. Epson. JVC is clearly below the universally accepted standard for comfort in refresh rate (48hz per eye), and Epson is on par with the standard (60hz per...

Epson LS10000 v2

I will buy immediately (take my money) if:
1. 1500 calibrated lumens
2. 3d crosstalk equal to JVC RS600
3. Reads HDR metadata
4. Everything else at least as good as LS10000 v1...
