You don't sound like somebody who will be happy without the most brightness and color volume, I suggest you abandon your search for the best TV and buy the QLED you really want instead.

My point was that we could stop doing it that way. When our video content has only 3-100Mbps bandwidth, 18Gbps is already over-kill by a factor of 180X.

When it comes to standards, it's not enough to work with one device. Either something meets the standard and will inter-operate with all other devices which meet the standard or it needs to be fixed....

A 70 OLED Lamp setting might work for a day time viewing, but that'd be super bright in a dark room. A calibrated dark room setting is probably around 35? (talking for SDR material)
