My parents are having an issue with their TV....

My parents are having an issue with their TV. They turn it on and can see some green color on the screen and then it shuts off. The TV is about 15 months old.
Any ideas?

I would go with:
Intel P35 based mobo (whatever brand you like)
Intel e6600 or e6700...
