If you do not allow heat to collect at the ceiling, the projector is not loud. My SPL meter does not go low enough to measure the fan noise on my RS4500. I used decibel 10 app on my phone. In between...

If you can control the temperature in your theater, then the projector is not very loud. I don't think my RS4500 in medium power is as loud as the lower level JVC's in high lamp mode. I have a 400...

Are you doing 16:9 screen or scope. if 16:9, then you can stack. If scope, then stacking will not work, unless you are using two anamorphic lens. Even then (2 A-lens system), it would be tough to do.

Yep, your problem is the cable. Once you go above 25/30', then you need to be looking at fiber optic HDMI and even then, you have to be careful. i recommend to my customers, Celerity Fiber Optic.

At your price point, I would consider: RS500, RS500 B-stock, RS520, RS600 and RS600 B-stock. Have had several customers go from an RS1 to one of the newer JVC's and all of them have been thrilled...

If his screen is 16:9, then I would go with two RS400's or two RS400 B-stocks and stack them. He would be able to get 3,600 lumens max and have plenty of brightness. He would be under his budget and...
