Congrats on that as well. I've had a M70 5.1 system listed here on AVS for about a month now, decided I'll just leave it with the house when we move (including a DSW-660 sub).

I don't believe...

Welcome to the Rti club! And welcome to the "selling the perfectly good Monitors" club, too!

I'd say don't do anything special, other than don't judge them until a month or so has passed. They...

Most higher end AVR's have a 12V trigger output (one or more) which can turn the amp on and off. Emo also sells a "splitter" that has 4 12V trigger outputs from a single trigger input.

FWIW the F12 was probably the worst sounding sub I ever owned. At least it was cheap, and fortunately I was able to sell it for nearly what I had paid for it. Personally I have had very good...

Best thing you could do is go for the Rti8's if you can swing it and pick up a pair of Fxi4's for surrounds. The CS2 will stick out like a sore thumb for the time being, but eventually you will want...

I'd say offer $300 for them.

I plan to do that in our new place. Different shaped room - wider, much wider. Plus will have the new 11 channel AVR setup, so I will also add the XPA-2 to the mix. Currently I actually have Rti6's...

Regarding my earlier "weakest link" remark, the CsiA6 (and Csi5) are great centers, and match seamlessly with the A3/A5/A7's, but using the A9's just puts everything else into a different class. With...

A larger center to match the Rti line would be great. The A6 is definitely the weak link in an A9 configuration. I bought a third A9 during the F&F sale to replace the A6, but won't have room to...

The 1010 should be adequate, but the A7's would deliver more oomph with more headroom driving them.

Going from A1's to A7's is quite a bump up indeed.
And the A7's match the A6 nicely.
The A1's do make nice surrounds, too.

FWIW I use the stereo out to connect to a sub on my Onk 8250 in the bedroom, simply because the AVR's sub out does not deliver enough voltage to trigger the sub to turn on. The 8250 has no EQ and no...

I'd say mark them "B" and "W" and be sure to reinstall them the same way. Once out of the cabinet, you can touch wires from a battery to the terminals and determine which way the cone moves (in or...

I've had it about a month. I ordered it Feb 9th and paid $1096. I guess I cheated myself out of nearly $100 by moving too fast. It's still in the box. Oh well.... that's life. I'm not going to beat...

The Rti tweeter is superior to that used in the Monitors and Tsi/Tsx's, being much clearer where the lesser models tend to be somewhat muddy. I suppose some may think of them as sounding "brilliant"...

Sounds like a good plan. The A3's are decent mains when paired with a good sub, and the A6 will deliver clear, clean dialogue.

+1 agreement that you should skip the TSX line. The A9's are...
