I had a 2014 P series for 1 day before returning it. Build quality was terrible, it had screen defects, and tons of software glitches. On paper they are fantastic, in practice? Not so much.

It depends on your eye. A huge issue for OLED is motion handling. The majority of people will say "I don't see the issue" though. I will leave it at that.

No display is perfect, LCD is worse with banding and DSE, and OLED has banding and uniformity issues as well. I do believe as OLED matures it will be as close to "perfect" as any display technology...

Failing caps generally don't buzz. A coil could, but a cap would make more of a high pitched ringing noise. He may need a new PS board. I would stay away from changing that specific board out though...
