Are they wireless? If yes, your best bet is to connect the wireless headphone amp to Zone 2 pre-outs using RCA connections.

Audio via HDMI out on a PC is not the default, rather via the laptops speakers is the default. You must change the laptop audio settings to output audio on the HDMI.
