How many/what kind of sources and what's your budget? I think a matrix is warranted when you start hitting double digit display numbers. HD over IP would be a good fit for you, tho it ain't cheap.

Well, I wouldn't say most systems, as you just described "Just Add Power." (or SVSI) It's also unbelievably easy to control in iRule/oncontrols, even for a DIY'er. It also does 4K quite swimmingly.
