But the CableCard version will handle Clear QAM even without a CableCard in it, correct?

I'll deal with that when the time comes, probably by getting a different tuner and a bigger better antenna...

Right now I can get the major networks via Clear QAM and some analog channels by connecting the cable straight from the wall into my TV, so they're definitely unencrypted (at least for now).
