DCI-P3 is not a home video colorspace, only BT601, BT.709 and BT.2020 are. The Samsung TVs don't have a "P3 Mode" and HDMI doesn't have a DCI-P3 AVI info frame.

For the ZD9 HDR10 calibration, I would recommend using picture mode Cinema Pro, with local dimming set to medium and extended dynamic range set to High.

The only type of display I consider to have good near blacks is Sony's RGB OLED mastering/broadcast monitors.

wOLED TVs have dithering near black, plasmas, same issue, LCDs can't maintain...

Spend the extra money on the i1 display pro, so...

Spend the extra money on the i1 display pro, so that way if you eventually move on to other calibration software it will still work. The colormunki display only works with HCFR.

We just provide the tools :) I would suggest you reach out to the TV reviewer's and testers and request the data from them, almost all of them use CalMAN and can replicate what we did.

AVS user Carbon Ft Print captured the HDR10 metadata for Universal titles and they were mastered at 1,000 nits. Since they are available Dolby Vision on VUDU, that means they had a 4,000 nit master....
