I've tried not to be inflamatory Ned, but telling it like I see it, from the POV of someone that has both a Sony 940c and an OLED, is apparently too controversial. The final straw was the 'debate'...

Those guys, particularly one who owns neither the Z nor an OLED, would love to censor any opposing POV. They can make the most blatantly false claims, but heaven forbid you try to counter those...

I laugh at this allusion to 'low nit sets'. The 2016 OLEDs are brighter than most previous LCDs.

Yes, I seem to recall that review too. However keep in mind that not all OLEDs show that brightening on the sides, in fact many don't. Mine doesn't and in fact has a slightly darker right side (a bit...

When I stated that shadow detail is better observed in a dark room and he then refutes that, going into a long winded post about the eye's ability to discern CR and such, I'd say his post (if his...

If that reduced lag time is actually confirmed, it should probably be posted in the lag time thread. Many gamers have steered away from the B for that very reason and it sounds like that's no longer...

To me this looks like the OLED is set too dark (or the gamma is off) and the Sony too bright in that the bright areas are blown out. I've never had that degree of black crush on my OLED. But again,...

It also depends on how the camera's exposure was set. I can make a 5% shot look quite bright or quite dim, depending on how the exposure is set. I try to match my exposure to what I'm seeing with my...
