I'd just do a verify to test things. No real reason to run both unless you are worried.

Personally, I don't plan on upgrading my 1st gen i3-530 with Nvidia GT-430 until I hop on the 4k bandwagon. No real reason to upgrade for 1080p duties.

I'm happy with LightDims. They don't work great if you have a protruding LED, but soooo much better than seeing the blinding blue light on my subwoofer amp light up my dark theater!
