You're back!

It is true that this video used both forms of stabilization combined. But I know, having used this lens before, that the OIS is not up to the task of yielding non-shaky, jittery...

Thanks. I was really impressed by the quality when I viewed what I got in 4K.

Often I use CAF to get the focus and then lock it. Other times I used manual focus or just CAF. CAF sometimes may...

DIS on the Samsung NX1 is a breakthrough

Here is an example of why I think DIS is such an important breakthrough. This is a video of close-ups of insect life on flowers, shot with a 90mm (35mm-equivalent) macro lens handheld. You cannot...

Actually, that has happened to almost everyone. If you press 'Cancel' when it is stuck at 330MB the firmware install will proceed and it will do fine. I did that in two cameras.

Of the two camcorders you list above the Canon has the bigger sensor. Does that Canon shoot 108060p? You do not want to extract stills from interlaced video (108060i) and faster frame rates are...

DIS test with Lens Having No OIS

The NX 45mm f1.8 lens is great in low light, but it has no OIS. Does DIS enable one to use it handheld?

https://vimeo.com/137292905

The first clip in each scene is with DIS off.

I am sure all our complaining led them to implement the DIS feature :). What a surprise!

Maybe they can improve the OIS just a bit, and then the 50-200mm will be amazing.
