Yep, every 30-seconds to 1 minute, the picture would freeze or pixellate badly for a second, sometimes the audio would also very briefly drop out. As of last evening, it appeared to be fixed.

The local commercial timing issue seems to be fixed, haven't seen any problems the last day or two.

However, this morning, MeTV was intermittently freezing/dropping out maybe once a minute (not...

19.2 Automation Messed Up Again

Noticed yesterday several times 19.2/MeTV coming back from local breaks late again (typically wiping out end credits and the first part of the following show). This has been an on-and-off problem on...

I doubt the problem is CFPL, since he said the interference changed strength suddenly - CFPL coming in on tropo would not do that, and it that area, you might not even need tropo for CPFL, in which...

Maybe check the signal-strength meter on your TV when you are having issues with WOIO.

If the interference is caused by CFPL, then the signal strength (actually a bit-error reading) of WOIO will...

And don't forget lightning - when WKYC was on RF2, if there was a thunderstorm within 50 or 100 miles, the reception would always be a constantly freezing and pixelating mess.

Also summertime...

If they really eliminate everything above 31 (or 36), and assuming most stations do not turn in their licenses completely and go off the air, then probably almost everyone will end up...

I remember receiving WKBN on occasional tropo when they were running 2 HD's, and the CBS picture was definitely much softer than the same feed on WOIO (though I think WKBN was running 720p CBS at the...

Seems to me that 61.4 is especially bad on dark and fast-changing scenes, wasn't that bad a couple weeks ago. Though I don't watch the channel all that much. 61.3 seems somewhat better, but still...

Agreed these look good for 2 1080i's with relatively static images on both, but wait until there's a soccer match on 61.1, I'll bet that'll not be pretty.

Yep, and 61.4 is a pixelated mess too now that they have gone to commercials with lots of fast-changing scenes.

I suppose we'd better get used to this kind of thing with the FCC out to take away...

61.1 and 61.2 are both 1080i

61.3 (GetTV) seems more pixelated, and 61.4 looks about the same (crappy pan-and-scan prints stretched to 16:9 then letterboxed in 4:3 so it looks windowboxed on a WS...

Usually they letterbox 16:9 movies in 4:3 (or windowboxed on a WS display unless zoomed). Or worse, they show a P&S print stretched to 16:9 and then letterboxed.

43.3 shows 16:9 movies in proper...
