Thanks Dan. That stuff is actually "black textured vinyl laminate" from parts express. It was on sale for around $14 per roll and each roll is 2' x 18'. I figured at that price I might as well try....

Ok. Well Dan's sealed design has a double baffle, so I'm not going to be losing any volume there. I don't know why I didn't think of just using screws in the plywood, thanks for pointing that out.
