Sorry, no. These are 7CH models so you can either do 5.1+Zone 2 or 7.1 + Zone 2 pre-outs to an external amp.

Generally the external amp will need to be set to about 80-100% of max volume, however, after doing so should not have impacted the readings from the other speakers, so not sure why you saw readings...

You're very fortunate it was only a slight increase. Someone with their sub setting at say -10db after running Audyssey would have a much louder experience. :eek:

HDMI audio can only go to the main zone and Zone 2. In fact, up until last year, well over 95% of all AVRs on the market couldn't pass other than analog audio to Zone 2 (and Zone 3) let alone HDMI...
