Honestly, Markus, how much clearer can I be? Did you read the headings on each graph? Sometimes it seems as if the more effort I make at being absolutely clear WRT what I am posting, you come back...

Unfortunately, this adds yet another layer of complexity to implementing the 88A. TBH, it is almost to the point of not being worth the effort.

You are showing the wrong graph. The one with the un-balanced connection shows a boost for both the custom and the 7.1 configurations.

I think the best option would be if MiniDSP were to add the option of applying a bass boost or not. That way each of us could choose an option appropriate for our specific configuration.

By checking the box, that channel gets different treatment appropriate for a sub channel. By un-checking the box, you defeat that special processing. Essentially you are masking one problem and...

I have been running so many tests with the 88A over the last few days that I am having nightmares about it. The behavior of the calibration still is suspect, IMO. Some of you may recall that I can...

IIRC, Audyssey reported distances of approximately 23 feet with Dirac in bypass, so the delay is equivalent to 23-9=14 feet. Not exactly negligible.

The three front speakers all measured exactly the same, as they do with Audyssey. I have expended extra effort to make sure I am equidistant from the LCR speakers. 19 feet = ~17ms, if my...

Not Forin, but how the 88A performs has really little or nothing to do with the AVR it is being used with. That is the compelling reason to implement the 88A--it replaces the native room correction...

Yes, I did, and I thought I posted a response, but I can't seem to find it right now. IIRC, with the Dirac filters turned on, Audyssey measured the distances to be ~28 feet, compared with 9 feet...
