I didn't ceiling mount mine, but I had the Epson and the Sony at the same time. If you do that, you will end up with the Sony IMO. Big difference.

There are always complaints about any product, particularly on a forum. All I can say, is after 7 months of use, I still love this projector. For me, it is an excellent value with zero issues.

Your last line says it all. I'm a former Epson owner, tried the 5030, and went with the Sony. Zero regrets, amazing picture, nearly silent with plenty of brightness.
