I caught Terminator: Genisys at the TCL IMAX when I was in Los Angeles recently. Easily the best image quality I've ever seen in a theatre, and the best 3D presentation. With 3D in other theatres,...

Another factor is that it's not a one to one comparison on digital to film because of film's analog nature. Film has an ability to retain detail in the highlights and the blacks different from...

I hope it's not that long. Home theater front projection is a niche, but I expect there is more money to be made in that niche for 4k then there is in 1080p as HT enthusiasts are early adopters.

You can watch the 2.39:1 version. It's not like it's unwatchable. But the IMAX 15/70 film version is the ideal one. If Nolan wanted the 2.39:1 ratio for the IMAX stuff, he would have matted it to...

Nope. The IMAX version is the intended version. If it was intended to be 2.39:1, THEN WHAT IS THE POINT OF SHOOTING IMAX! Might as well have shot the whole film in 2.39:1 35mm anamorphic. The only...

Imax is taller than 2.39:1. The aspect ratio of IMAX film is 1.33:1. The stuff shot in Imax was framed for 1.33:1, not 2.39.1, so anything other than 1.33:1 is cropped and a compromise. The footage...

Jeez Warner Brothers, you could of sprung the extra cent for a blu-ray Multi-Case instead of just jamming two discs onto one hub, or am I the only one whose disc was like that?
