The noise from a CRT projector can ruin the quite parts of a movie and so far I have not come across any practical way of dealing with this.

Active noise cancellation only works with headphones....

This is such a pity. You wouldn't believe the hassle that we had to go through to get the JVC into the UK in the first place.

I live in the UK and watch D-Theater and HDNet tapes on a Marquee CRT projector. There seems to be plenty of these around on the 2nd hand market. Not sure about TVs though.
