Your speaker has keyhole for mounting, why don't you get a wood plate or just a a 2x4 and mount that on your mounting bracket (with bolt or screws) and hook your speaker on the plate.

As I had just re-installed everything, some stuff did not get updated in registry until a few reboot later. And everything is working as before.
