Ok, So I reformatted, fresh install of windows....

Ok, So I reformatted, fresh install of windows. Installed only the necessary drivers (GPU, lan) installed the ceton utility/drivers, ran the digital cable advisor, set up the signal, play ready etc,...

Your point about TV's being too thin is definitely my thought on the matter. I'm inclined to tell them that they should buy a TV for other reasons and then look into getting an additional speaker...
