For what it's worth, I'm passing YCbCr 4:2:2 over HDMI. I have no clue what the Samsung was doing.

It depends who you ask. Audyssey has their own definition that is relevant to how their calibration works. Each AVR is different in its implementation.

Question New Blu-ray player: re-run calibration disc?

I've replaced my Samsung Blu-ray player with a Sony one. Is it necessary to rerun the AVSHD 709 picture calibration routine?

Obviously I disabled all of the video noise reduction and picture...

Just wanted to reply that the dual-core CPU makes app browsing very snappy. It's even faster and smoother than my Samsung BD-F7500 (also dual-core) was.

Very impressed with the BDP-S6200.

I have an AVR and bitstream the audio. That sort of upmix functionality is not important to me. I tend to run stereo content in Neural mode anyway.

Good to know. My dual-core Samsung loads them pretty fast, though not quite on par with my old PS3.

I just got back from BBY and they were, predictably, worthless. They had the old BDPS-S790 still...

Just to confirm, the 5200 and 6200 both support Amazon & Netflix in 1080p with DD+?

I'm also not seeing any definitive proof that the dual-core CPU in the 6200 makes any difference. 4k upscaling...

Some of the older movies or TV I stream through Netflix, Amazon, YouTube, Vudu, etc. come through as PCM 2/0/0 48kHz. What is the best surround mode to use on my AVR? The AVR's "auto" mode always...

It's sufficient, but far from optimal. Try it out and see what you think. Worst case, you buy some Marantz mono-block amps to drive the B&Ws.

The MartinLogan Motion6 is about 3.8" deep, and the Motion8 is 5.6" deep. They sound phemomenal with that folded motion tweeter, IMO. Very crisp and intelligible audio.

More than capable.

2560×1600p75 is the maximum that HDMI 1.3 can output. 1080p60 has been available since HDMI 1.0.

I'd try the 120 and see how it sounds; if you want more bass, then move it to 160. 120 is the normal LPF of LFE setting. Going higher means you're doubling up on the bass, which might sound weird.

I highly doubt those 2.5" cones can go any lower than 100Hz. The Polk site says:

Total Frequency Response 95Hz-22kHz
Lower -3dB Limit 125 Hz
Upper -3dB Limit 20 kHz

That means your...
