I'm a new directv subscriber that was just hooked up last night. I laid a RCA ANT 751 on my deck railing and am getting 80+ on 8-1 with an HR20-700.

I don't think anyone mentioned paradigm. You can probalby find a set up out of their monitor series in your price range. Just another option for you to consider. I haven't had a chance to audtion...
