No reason to add this as you'll note OP already indicated he has HDMI Control enabled on the AVR which also factory defaults to TV Audio Switching ON as well. ;)

Yup. In addition to turning the Zone 2 TV OFF, you must also turn Zone 2 OFF on the AVR as well, or simply select another source to Zone 2.
