Should not be a issue, but double check with Tom. I had a amp that made popping noises randomly and it was a connection on the amp board. I do not think this is the same issue you are having tho.

Do not base performance by comparing gain settings between 2 different subs. That means absolutely nothing. The PSA sub works the best with the amp gain set around 2:00.

I have heard several Klipsch speakers all the way up to the top of the line K-horns. I like the sound of Polk RTI speakers much better. Both make good speakers and sound very different.
