As long as you buy one with an intel cpu it should have the power and proper architecture to run xbmc and play all standard 1080p content. (not sure about hi10 anime)

I had that problem when installing my network. Turned out to be a patch cable with only 4 wires.
Thankfully I checked that before chopping off the ends and recrimping/punching them. serves me right...

I used to have a roku2 but it never played nice with my onkyo tx-nr515 so it had to go. It would always lose picture when playing Netflix in 1080p and 5.1 at the same time.
