I'd spray it in place so you don't have to worry about moving that massive board with your pristine paint on it. Finger prints, dropped corners, bending - all not so good.

Sounds like you're in a pretty similar situation to me. Follow what I did in March 2013 for my dedicated theater with the 8000. I ended up with a SF v2.5 2.5 for mine and it's worked out very well...
