If you look at the specs for the Bryston 3BSST2...

If you look at the specs for the Bryston 3BSST2 it states power consumption at idle = 127 watts. 2 Ch. @ 150w @8 ohms = 668 watts, and 2 Ch. @ 250w @ 4 ohms = 1053...if this helps.

I think you are getting "power consumption" confused with "power output". When you see kitchen appliances on display in stores, note that they have yellow tags posted that indicate the products...
