If you have the extra cash and want to save the time that it takes to DIY, JTR is a no brainer.

The outside diameter of the mounting holes...

The outside diameter of the mounting holes extends about 3/4" from the outside of the rim.

1/8" gasket tape along the outside of the rim won't seal, as the air will leak though the mounting holes....

The DC resistance is 3.2ohm, but once you get some voltage into the coil it's going to rise. Take a look at the impedance plot of the UXL-18 on DB.com. Same coil/motor as the FTW-21.
