Thanks, I can appreciate all those points. Perhaps I circumvented some of the issues by going directly to larger boxes and amps with either PEQ or DSP adjustments.

I would get the dual 4 ohm version and the 6000dsp. Wire each sub to 2ohm and run 2 subs per channel at 4ohm. Each speaker gets 750-900 watts and should live a happy life.
