You could check your network settings on the Synology and see if you set it to jumbo frames. I have an 1815+ and no issues playing any...

I had this same issue with an antenna and HDHomerun. I switched over to cable and the stalling//freezing of the Live TV or HD app went away. Too bad neither have 5.1 audio, only 2 channel.

No. With HD audio passthrough available with Kodi now this box does everything I need (short of Amazon Prime and Vudu) to replace a HTPC - Kodi, live TV, streaming apps, 4K.

Best $200 I've spent...

I'd suggest coding your app to use AWS or Azure or at a minimum just host the SQL instance in an Azure VM. That way you can add scale as needed and not have to support the underlying infrastructure.

There's also the nVidia Shield TV. It runs Android TV so all you need to do is open the app store and click install to have Kodi going. A little less involved than using a Fire TV.
