I would experiment with sub placement to see what can be done about the dip. Also try moving the couch too if need be. Have the mic in a few listening positions to see what is happening to that dip....

I would make sure you AVR is setup to output 5.1 and not any other. Make sure any unused speakers like the backs are turned off in the AVR. Not just disconnected.

I don't use a center channel for music or movies. My mains are bipolar and the wide open soundstage is gone if most information is directed to a center.

I have the Oppo BDP-95 set to off for that...

I have documented similar results to the OP. 3-5dB delta in SPL at different frequencies. I think even as low as 25Hz. Not uniform improvements mind you. Say +3dB from 50-55Hz for example.

Ha! I was afraid someone would suggest as much. Lots of sweeps ahead. Would 0.5ms increments be alright? I guess I could try 1ms and 0.5ms using one microphone position too get a feel for the process.
