I think the idea is that you are "zooming" into the mini-display in the upper right corner. At least, that's the mnemonic I use to memorize the feature. :-)

In that case, you *are* dealing with an HDR issue, and not a 4k/UHD issue. That being said, you still *must* make sure that your xbox is connected to HDMI 1, 2 or 3 since those are the only inputs...
