I'll stick my neck out and say 'no' to the AE6000. The main reason being that the native contrast is less than your RS1/HD1, so IMHO in some ways it's a step...

Well Sony have dropped the DI, the manual iris and the autocalibration feature to bring out the VW300ES. JVC of course had to go one better so they just dropped the whole projector. :D

Are you sure? I didn't think that the lamp changed last year with the X500/700 models over the X35/RS46. Certainly the newer lamp in the X35 was a significant improvement over the previous X30/RS45...

With no DI the contrast is down to something between the old JVC RS1 and RS10. I know on/off contrast isn't everything, but it would seem a backwards step in some regards especially for current JVC...
