with blow, one is too many, and 100 isn't enough ... but with subs... 1 isn't enough, and 100... don't know, yet, but I suspect it's more than enough !! :D

needs to be XLR or 1/4 " TS . I made the mistake of using TRS and had the same problem the OP has. Switched to XLR adapter and problem resolved.
