i got a r9 270x...some observations and some questions re MadVr

Ok...I finally got the horsepower to run virtually anything I want in MadVr! :)

I will echo some of the observations that I have seen from others...and that is to say, a 1080p file does not make...

dual channel would really not matter, nor would it make much of a difference in anything you might do with an HTPC. Just be sure to use the fastest ram you can as that makes a significant difference....

I tried a very cheap, thin, flimsy white shower curtain....and it was better. It was brighter (albeit with a hotspot at the bottom), and definitely sharper! It was 1.50....and it has me thinking...

If you're not re-encoding blu-rays or something like that,then your i3 is also overkill. You can easily get great playback from a far lesser cpu/mobo...

I've always liked a lower lumen solution anyhow....so, that's not a huge concern for me. And it's not painfully low as it is, I'd just like a bit more light than this walmart bed sheet is providing...

But, all the upscaling features would not be used....

I am using a crt projector....and I don't want to see the initial reflection off the mirror of the crt's rgb coming...
