Nice. That "F24" would definitely be a better option then the tapped horn. A pair of 8 ft3 boxes sounds even better though. That's funny cause I was just modeling the 460 in a 8 ft3 box.

Given those dimensions a ported 15" should work best. I would just do a 1.75" high slot with a single splitter down the middle. Make the port 36" long, so the bottom board for the port will be 20.75"...

You need to define what your actual box size limits are, what is the maximum width and depth you can fit? Sure sealed can work well but a smaller ported woofer can have an advantage near the tuning...
