So I installed the replacement lamp that was sent. It is identical to the first lamp that I received.
The lamp works correctly, contrast is back.
Will see how long the lamp lasts.

The new Bulb does have a factory marking of NSHA230. Which would indicate a 230w ushio bulb. The previous model Year bulbs were 220w.
So I'm just not sure what to think.
