Two good $600 subs would be better than three so-so $400 subs. I would be looking at a pair of Hsu VTF2s or Rythmik LV12r subs. Better sound quality, deeper extension, better accuracy, and so on.

Klipsch do not measure their sensitivity in a ordinary way, they use something like 1/4 space. They are playing spec games for sure, but their are not arbitrarily boosting their sensitivity rating,...

If you are using a good sub, don't bother spending money on full range speakers like those towers. You will get a better sound overall by either buying a better sub or another sub. Spending money on...

I think PB1000s may be disappointing coming from CSX15s. The Cadence subs have a tremendous amount of upper bass output, many times that of PB1000s. A system with floor standing CWs is intended to...

Since you are using them a surrounds, it looks like it wouldn't matter how they sound in stereo mode. For the best two channel music playback, just use the front two, with subs maybe. Anyway, the...

One thing I would like to see measured is the 18.1 subwoofer, I would like to see how much of a boost the vent give to the low end of the woofer there. I think that might be a killer sub. It looks to...

The Philharmonitors look like a nice fit for your criteria. I wouldn't worry about bass extension on them either, with a +/- 2 dB spec of 42 Hz. You still should consider adding a subwoofer though,...
