I did get two of those MP Redmere 18Gbps 6 weeks ago just to be somewhat future proof.
No issues with my current config. I like thin cables.

GD Phawst! That sucks! You would think they'd replace it. Replacing the panel seems like a lot of work. But if it is not the boards, most likely the panel was bad. Are they replacing it in your home?
