Not a fair number to compare when A) 4K sets are still new and more expensive and B)3D comes on about every mid-level 1080 set available. Its hard to find a set made in 2014 and up by any manufacture...

Im in Seattle. Some stations are better than others, i will say that. However, their compression is generally the worst of the 3 biggies (DTV, Dish, X1). Some stations are just awful

I am going to pass. The quality of their product is terrible with so much compression...its almost worthless to even own their HD box at this point. I dont even know if they could deliver a true 1080...

Personally, i think timbre matching is overblown. Others live and die by it. If it doesnt bother you, than i wouldnt stress on it. I have never timbre matched have never experienced "chalk board"...

Because amps just push power to a speaker, nothing more. It may sound louder, but thats not different. Thats just a higher volume with less juice.
