Yep, those channels are such a digital reception nightmare I can't see any station moving there, unless they totally don't care about their OTA signal and only want cable must-carry.

Hope not, so far I like this channel - decent movies, no editing for time, no obnoxious bugs; other than WBNX not transmitting a widescreen flag (which can be manually overridden), they seem to do...

I thought WCLQ did OK until WOIO signed on (they also carried Preview Subscription TV until 1983). After 19 and 55 signed on, the market couldn't support 4 independents, so WCLQ sold out to HSN.

Yep, reception is rock-solid here on 61, it is an encoder issue (or too little bandwidth allocated - possibly when there is a lot of motion on both 61.1 and 61.2). Would be curious what the rates are...

Same here, no 16:9, and must be getting about 1 Mbps with all the pixelation. At least GetTV looks a little better.

EDIT: Never mind, the picture is (mostly) 16:9, but I needed to set the aspect...

However, that means another converter-box program, since how many more years will it be before TV's support ATSC 3 natively?

Aren't 14-20 off limits in a lot of large markets like NYC? So that would leave 7-13 and 21-28. How could you possibly fit all those stations (even assuming channel sharing of 2 HD and 2 SD streams...

3, 5, and 8 all had small self-supporting towers next to the big towers back in the 80's, IIRC. I assumed they were for backup transmitters.

Yep, every 30-seconds to 1 minute, the picture would freeze or pixellate badly for a second, sometimes the audio would also very briefly drop out. As of last evening, it appeared to be fixed.

19.2 Automation Messed Up Again
